It’s super easy to make and the kids will love it because you can fill it with their favourite treats. So get ready to “take 1 a day ‘cos Santa’s on his way” and let the countdown begin. Here’s how it’s made in under 5 minutes!
Easy Christmas Countdown Jar
Prep Time: 5 minutes
What You’ll Need:
1 glass or plastic jar
sweets or chocolates of your choice X 24
ribbon (red or green)
glue
scissors
paper punch
FREE printable provided below
Method:
Fill your glass or plastic jar with 24 sweets and chocolates of your choice.
Print The Supermoms Club FREE Christmas Countdown Jar Printable (PDF) on white paper or cardboard, and cut out 1 small & 1 big circle printable from the sheet using a pair of scissors (the sheet contains 3 of each).
Glue one circle printable to your jar lid, and punch a hole through the other one and attach it to the jar using some ribbon. You can choose the size which best suits your jar. I used the smaller circle printable on my jar lid, and the bigger one to tie around the jar. I adjusted the smaller one’s size by gluing it to a circle of green cardboard so that it perfectly fitted my jar lid. I upcycled an empty jar of Douwe Egberts coffee… I love their jars and always save them for little projects like these!
And that’s it… an easy Christmas countdown jar made in under 5 minutes. Now all you have to do is make it and let the kids enjoy it!
Happy Christmas countdown everyone.
